What is Permanent Laser Hair Removal?

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Sometimes referred to as PCOS, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome is prevalent in females and can cause hirsutism, acne, weight gain and high cholesterol levels. Laser hair removal will reduce the hirsutism, although due to the nature of the condition, hair may grow back in treated areas. However, a appreciable reduction will be noticed.

With a GP referral, we offer discounted rates for ongoing treatment plans where necessary.

Hormonal Hair Growth

Hormonal fluctuations, particularly in females during pregnancy and the menopause can cause excessive hair growth.

During pregnancy, we will not treat with a laser machine. However, post pregnancy treatment will normally deliver a satisfactory result.

For clients experiencing the menopause, treatment plans may be longer with the possibility of new hair growth.

We do not treat people under the age of 18.

For people experiencing puberty later on, hair re-growth is also a possibility.

Folliculitis

Folliculitis is defined as the infection and inflammation of one or more hair follicles. The condition can occur anywhere on the body with the exception of the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet. The rash can appear as pimples with white tips on the face, back, chest, arms, legs, buttocks and scalp.

Ingrowing Hairs

Ingrowing hair is a common occurrence for people who regularly shave and wax (in both males and females).

It is most prevalent in people with coarse or curly hair. In some cases the condition may be accompanied by an infection.

Permanent laser hair removal will all but eliminate the problem by destroying the hair follicle.

Cosmetic

Many people simply elect to have permanent laser hair removal to save time shaving and waxing and feel more confident about how they look.
